Japchae is a traditional Korean dish

Japchae is a traditional Korean dish made with sweet potato noodles (dangmyeon) stir-fried with a variety of vegetables, meat (usually beef), and flavored with soy sauce and sesame oil. Here is a basic recipe for cooking Japchae:

Ingredients:
8 oz sweet potato noodles (dangmyeon)1/2 cup sliced onion1/2 cup sliced mushrooms1/2 cup sliced carrots1/2 cup sliced bell peppers1/2 cup sliced beef (or chicken or tofu)2 cloves of minced garlic2 tbsp soy sauce1 tbsp sugar1 tbsp sesame oil2 tbsp vegetable oilgreen onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:
Soak the sweet potato noodles in water for 30 minutes to soften them. Drain and cut the noodles into shorter pieces.Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over high heat and stir-fry the beef (or chicken or tofu) until cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and stir-fry the onions, mushrooms, carrots, and bell peppers until they are slightly softened.Add the garlic and continue to stir-fry for another minute.Add the cooked beef back into the pan and add the noodles.In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Pour this mixture over the noodles and vegetables and toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated.Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the noodles are heated through and slightly crispy.Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot.
Note: You can adjust the ingredient quantity and ingredients to your preference.
